Customer Service Representative- Full Time and Part Time

Patioshoppers.com is looking for an “A” Team player to join us in a fun, fast paced customer service environment to help build our exciting new company. This position requires strong phone and written communication skills, excellent computer knowledge (including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel) and a winning attitude. Desired person must be able to learn new product knowledge, handle customer challenges and help motivate potential buyers in purchasing products from our site.

Prior customer service, sales and or call center background is a plus.  Residency local to Temecula, Murrieta or Lake Elsinore areas is strongly preferred.

This opportunity is considered full time seasonal employment (5-6 months) with the potential for permanent position status at the end of the seasonal period, and requires at least one weekend day per week availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn Patioshoppers.com products in order to respond to customer inquiries about the current products offered for sale.
  • Respond to incoming contacts regarding sales, customer service issues, and technical website issues.
  • Listen to customers to understand their needs; provide appropriate action or response to those needs.
  • Confidently navigate the Patioshoppers.com website, internet, and customer support systems.
  • Assist customers in selecting products and options for browsing along with navigation and placing orders on the website.
  • Communicate and manage customer conflict resolution in a professional manner.
  • Handle all basic frequently occurring situations regarding: order placement, order and return status issues.
  • Effectively use decision-making skills, critical thinking, and elements of effective communication; use appropriate telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide product recommendations to customers who are placing orders & inquiring about items; be aware of and act upon potential up-sell opportunities.
  • Respond to other inquiries such as returns and exchanges.
  • Interact with customers and drop ship manufacturers in a clear, concise, courteous, and professional manner, via e-mail and phone.
  • Utilize writing, correct grammar and proofreading skills to be able modify when responding to e-mails and writing product sales copy and details.
  • Update product pricing, availability and site presentation for existing products on an ongoing basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
