Here are a few things to keep in mind as you set out to find the right umbrella for your private paradise.
Umbrella frames Umbrella frames are made using either metal or wood. There are three types of methods used in opening a patio umbrella. A manual lift with a pin is the first method. A crank lift and push button tilt is commonly used for aluminum frame umbrellas, allowing the umbrella to be tilted at varying angles. Some sort of pulley system is usually the method used to open wood umbrellas. When deciding on which type of umbrella frame you want, it’s best to begin with asking yourself which style will best coordinate with your décor. The type of entertaining you normally do is also something to consider when choosing a frame style. Canopy fabric Most fabrics for patio umbrellas are weather and UV resistant. Umbrella size The umbrella canopy size determines the amount of shade you will get. Note that your umbrella should be at least five feet larger than the area you want shaded.
