Natural Gas Grills

The intricacies of barbecues and grills can be overwhelming for the inexperienced griller, but that’s why we are here to help! If you are considering the purchase of a BBQ grill there are a few things to consider.

First – you might be pondering the differences in and benefits of a charcoal grill vs. a propane grill, vs. a natural gas grill. Which one should you choose? Although that decision is ultimately yours, there is some helpful “food for thought” that we can give you to help you with making the right decision for you and your family!

The first set of differences is between charcoal grills and propane grills. The benefits of a propane grill are: (1) it saves money in the long run; (2) it will have a longer lifespan than a charcoal grill; (3) it will be easier to clean than a charcoal grill; and (4) the fuel of a propane grill will not taint the taste of your food. Let’s face it, although a charcoal grill may seem less expensive, the cost of having to replace the grill sooner should be a big consideration. It is also true that a charcoal grill will require you to purchase charcoal briquettes and lighter fluid every time you want to use the grill. On the other hand, although a tank of propane costs more, you will be able to use that propane tank several times over before having to fill it. In addition to that, an excessive use of lighter fluid can cause your food to taste like fuel, and that is never good!

The next set of differences to consider are those between a propane grill and a natural gas grill. Essentially, many of the benefits for a propane grill also apply to a natural gas grill. However, the natural gas grill has a couple of additional perks. The first and most notable benefit is that natural gas is plumbed directly from your home which means that there will never be a shortage of fuel. If you want to BBQ something you can simply go outside, instantly start your grill and not have to worry about whether or not the tank is full. The benefit which coincides with this is that plumbed natural gas will eliminate having a tank altogether! The final benefit which follows is that having a built-in natural gas BBQ can greatly increase the aesthetic of your outdoor space and will even create a true outdoor cooking area! If you are looking for a portable natural gas grill then you’re in luck because we offer those too!
