Sunglo Heaters
There are a number of considerations in determining the type and number of heaters you will need on your outdoor patio. Because hot air is not an option for heating an outdoor patio, Sunglo Patio Heaters use a radiant heat - such as the warmth we receive from the sun. It is an infrared wavelength that heats objects without first heating the intervening air. Unlike, ultra-violet light, there is no sunburn or sun tanning effect, and infrared will not attract insects - making a Sunglo heater perfect for any outdoor location.
Sunglo Heaters naturally attract people to their infrared warm glow so the location of your patio heaters are important. Place them in spots where people readily gather to sit or stand comfortably and where furnishings can easily be relocated to best accommodate the radiating warmth. Looking for a solution to heat a completely exposed area? While weather and wind protection does allow the surrounding air to be warmed more effectively and will enhance the direct radiant warming effect, Sunglo patio heaters can operate effectively to maintain comfort in these open areas as well - making it the ideal solution to most outdoor patios.
Available in a variety of finishes and styles, every Sunglo Patio Heater is available with a variety of control systems from manual controls requiring no electrical connections to a 24 VAC fully automatic ignition and control system. The type of control you choose is crucial when deciding whether you will use multiple heaters and it is recommended that the electrical circuity be arranged so heaters can be switched on individually or in groups to provide maximum flexibility for heating your patio. Although Sunglo heaters will cover up to a 20' diameter in most cases, when more than one patio heater is used in a single area it is generally preferable to situate them close together in order to give overlapping "heat patterns", thereby increasing the overall effective coverage for each heater.
